The Evansville community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Autumn Elaine Vieira, a vibrant and deeply loved young woman whose radiant spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Autumn, age 21, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Though her life was far too brief, it was filled with creativity, kindness, and joy that will be remembered forever.

Born on June 15, 2004, in Evansville, Indiana, Autumn was the cherished daughter of Craig and Melissa (Schenk) Vieira. From an early age, she displayed a remarkable passion for self-expression and artistry. A proud graduate of North High School’s Class of 2022, Autumn went on to pursue a degree in criminal justice at Indiana University, where she was a dedicated senior. She approached her education with determination and purpose, driven by a sincere desire to make a positive difference in the world.
Autumn’s creativity shone brightly in every aspect of her life. She loved fashion, makeup, and doing her nails, using style as a canvas for her expressive personality. Thrifting was one of her favorite pastimes, as she delighted in finding unique pieces that reflected her individuality. An artist at heart, Autumn loved to draw and paint, generously sharing her talents with those closest to her and inspiring many through her work.
Beyond her artistic passions, Autumn found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. She adored her two beloved dogs, Duke and Brutus, who were constant companions and a source of comfort. Known for her warm, social nature, Autumn was often described as the life of the party. Her infectious laughter, vibrant energy, and genuine kindness brought light and happiness wherever she went.
Above all else, Autumn treasured her family and friends. They were her greatest source of joy, and she poured love and care into every relationship. Her nurturing spirit and compassionate heart touched countless lives, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
Autumn is survived by her parents, Craig Vieira and Melissa (Schenk) Vieira; her sister, Alyxa Vieira; her brother, Bryce Kravetz; her grandparents, Ron and Ann Vieira; her niece, Annie Jo; her nephew, Xander; her aunts and uncles, Ryan Schenk (Kat), Anna Sanders (Chip), and Brad Vieira (Jill); and many beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis and Diana Schenk.
A celebration of Autumn’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Indiana. Pastor George Purnell will officiate. Friends and family are invited to gather from 12:00 noon until service time to share memories and honor Autumn’s remarkable life.
Autumn Elaine Vieira will be remembered for her creativity, her laughter, and her boundless love. Though she is gone, her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
